Synopsis of the Series The Terminal List

The series follows James Reece after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. 1. The Engram

In the wake of a disastrous mission overseas, Navy SEAL Commander James Reece returns home with conflicting memories of the op and questions about his own culpability.

2. Encoding

Reece locks onto his first potential target, enlisting Ben’s help. With his mental health in question, Katie and Reece strike up an uneasy but mutually beneficial partnership to find answers.

3. Consolidation

Reece is drawn deeper into a complex conspiracy and puts a new name on his list. Meanwhile, Secretary of Defense Lorraine Hartley announces a drastic policy overhaul to help Special Operators. And Katie discovers the truth of what’s going on in Reece’s head.

4. Detachment

With the help of his closest friends, Reece travels to Mexico to locate the triggerman who killed his family. Katie continues her research from a remote location. Steve Horn takes steps to preserve Capstone’s deals, and the San Diego FBI Fugitive Task Force led by Tony Layun enters the fray in pursuit of rogue SEAL James Reece.

5. Disruption

Reece travels to San Francisco to seek answers on a drug that may have started this all. Katie attempts to turn Mike Tedesco in an effort to blow up Capstone’s plans for Nubellum. Tony and his team stick close to Horn, hoping to intercept Reece before he kills his next target.

6. Transience

The FBI’s manhunt intensifies as they close in on Reece. Without the medications, Reece’s physical and mental symptoms escalate. Surrounded by law enforcement, a man hellbent on his mission must escape without taking innocent lives.

7. Extinction 

Reece returns to Coronado to bring the hammer down on the people who betrayed him the most. Back within the walls of his family home, fragmented memories surface. Katie plays ball with the FBI in order to finish her story.

8. Reclamation

A showdown brews at Secretary of Defense Hartley’s Orcas Island estate as Reece, Katie, Ben, and Tony’s paths and objectives collide.
